TrueChecks Duplicate Detection - AFS

TrueChecks Duplicate Detection is available as an add-on to your TrueChecks subscription. TrueChecks Duplicate Detection protects your financial organization from losses by screening inquiries from all TrueChecks customers across all TrueChecks channels. 

A recommended action of Deny will be returned for any TrueChecks inquiries if the Routing, Account, and Check Number match a previous TrueChecks inquiry - regardless of the original result from TrueChecks.

Whether your financial organization uses the web browser version of TrueChecks, a third-party integrated solution, or even TrueChecks Batch, TrueChecks Duplicate Detection will notify you of any duplicate queries to protect your organization against duplicate check deposits.

TrueChecks Batch Duplicate Detection

TrueChecks Duplicate Detection searches across all TrueChecks channels and all TrueChecks customers; however, there is one exception to the rule. TrueChecks Batch will not display a Duplicate Detection alert for items that were queried against TrueChecks at the teller line.

It is normal behavior to search TrueChecks at the teller line, and then later through TrueChecks Batch when the item is imaged by a Branch Capture solution. However, the reverse order would be abnormal behavior and return a TrueChecks Duplicate Detection alert.

TrueChecks frontline > TrueChecks Batch will not return a Duplicate Detection response.
TrueChecks Batch > TrueChecks Frontline will return a Duplicate Detection response.

Lastly, TrueChecks Duplicate Detection will return an alert if an item is queried against TrueChecks at the teller line more than once and then queried against TrueChecks Batch.

TrueChecks frontline > TrueChecks frontline > TrueChecks Batch will return a Duplicate Detection response because a Duplicate Detection alert was created when the second matching inquiry hits the system. TrueChecks Batch is simply finding this duplicate alert and alerting the TrueChecks Batch user.
