What's new in TrueACH
This release introduces Behavioral Analysis as a standalone query type in TrueACH — no AOA or Account Status query required — and extends it beyond Nacha files to portal, API, and custom batch inputs. Behavioral statistics now display on both the Query Response and Results screens, and the Results grid Excel export now includes the ValidationId.
- Behavioral Analysis, now standalone — run behavioral validations independently of AOA or Account Status queries, across every supported input channel.
- Behavioral statistics at a glance — transaction amount and velocity baselines display on the Query Response and Results screens.
- ValidationId in Excel exports — the Results grid export now includes the ValidationId for easier reconciliation.
Behavioral Analysis, now standalone
Behavioral Analysis is now its own query type in TrueACH, so it can run as a separate validation, independent from an AOA or Account Status query. AFS enables Behavioral Analysis for your institution, including the historical start date and the number of transactions needed to establish baseline account behavior. Once enabled, validations run against any account with the requisite Behavioral Analysis data.
Behavioral Analysis also now extends beyond the traditionally supported Nacha file format to include portal entries, API queries, and custom batch files for all incoming/receiving transactions. Eligible transactions submitted through any supported input automatically trigger a Behavioral Analysis validation and update the account's behavioral statistics — no separate query selection needed. A transaction is eligible when it is incoming/receiving (the routing number matches your configured "OnUs" routing number), its Effective Entry Date is after the configured start date, and it meets the defined transaction threshold.
Behavioral Analysis runs independently of Batch Rule and API Rule configuration. For institutions also configured to run Account Status or AOA queries, those query types continue to execute only when transactions meet the defined Batch Rule criteria.
One note on results: because the default Recommended Action in TrueACH is Accept, any Behavioral Analysis query that does not trigger a Warning or Decline displays as Accept. An Accept result does not, by itself, indicate that a transaction is legitimate or free of fraud risk — continue to follow your standard fraud prevention, review, and decisioning procedures.
BENEFIT: Monitor account behavior against established baselines to catch deviations that signal potential fraud — across every channel transactions come in.
Behavioral statistics at a glance
A dedicated Behavioral Analysis section now displays on the Query Response screen when a Behavioral Analysis query is run, matching the existing section on the Results grid. For the receiving account, it includes: Average, Median, Min, and Max Transaction Amount; Average, Median, Min, and Max Daily Transactions; Average Credit/Debit Amount; and Average Daily Credit/Debit Transactions.
On the Results screen, a query executed for Behavioral Analysis only shows a Query Type of Behavioral Analysis. Queries that include Account Status or AOA continue to display the existing Query Type options.
No action required — if Behavioral Analysis is enabled for your institution, these updates apply automatically.
BENEFIT: Reviewers see the account's normal amount and velocity patterns right where decisions are made.
Also improved
